Maui Makers is a community workshop — a shared shop where people gather to build, invent, fix, and learn with tools most of us don't have room for at home. You don't need any special skills to join, just enthusiasm and a desire to actively participate.

We make anything, from anything. A CNC machine and a 3D printer sit a few feet from hand planes and a wood lathe — high-tech and old-school side by side, because making isn't about the tool, it's about turning an idea into something real.

How we got here

A shop with some mileage on it.

2010
Maui Makers begins
Founded by Jerry Isdale as a community for people who'd rather make than buy.
2014
Becomes a nonprofit
Incorporated as a 501(c)(3) — all-volunteer, everything donated, run by its members.
Today
A full makerspace at the Baseyard
Seven craft zones, open seven days a week, at the Central Maui Baseyard.
